Consultancy Services Framework
Major capital building programmes are currently taking place for schools in England, providing the opportunity for new buildings or major refurbishment projects.
Few schools will have the expertise to manage these multi-million projects, so local authorities are creating Local Education Partnerships to provide support. The scale of financial investment also means that mini competitions must be held before awarding contracts to suppliers, and schools will need to appoint external consultants to guide them through the process.
Help is also available from Becta through the Consultancy Services Framework. Our evaluation process ensures that each framework supplier’s quality of service, technical capacity and business performance meet a minimum set of criteria demanded by educational users.
As part of the framework agreement, approved consultants will help schools develop their vision for ICT, and provide advice on choosing the right technologies as well as expertise in procurement, in order to deliver the desired outcomes for learners.
You can find out more about the Consultancy Services Framework on the Local authorities website.
